THE VII CONGRESS OF MEDIA PUBLISHERS EUROPE – LATIN AMERICA WILL BE HELD IN MARCH 2024

From March 19 to 21, 2024, the VII Congress of Publishers Europe – Latin America will take place. This time it will work in double headquarters: Brussels (Belgium) and Madrid (Spain).

Since 2012, the congresses have brought together 60 of the editors and those responsible for the most prestigious media publications on both continents. They are organized by Prestomedia Grupo, from Spain.

At the most recent congress, held in February 2023 in Madrid, the editors decided to form an international association. Thus, on July 12 of this year, EditoRed was formally born. The main objectives of the association are the defense of the exercise of free journalism in both continents and contribute to improving information and understanding between the two regions.

The association has its website www.EditoRed.org. It develops online meetings on topics of journalistic interest, coordinates and supports work among associates and is open to supporting causes that defend the right to freedom of expression.

In mid-November, the topics to be discussed in the March 2024 Congress will be established. The topics are addressed by congressmen and by experts in various subjects, who contribute with experiences and research in the sessions that are scheduled.

The first Congress of Editors took place in Santiago de Chile, in 2012. Then came those from Valencia, Spain, in 2015; Bogotá, Colombia, in 2017; Cologne and Berlin, Germany, in 2019, and those from Madrid, in 2021 and 2022.

The meetings have been held biannually, but since 2024 they will take place every year.
